On Leadership: People Can Spot a Phony

The only thing worse than a coach or CEO who doesn’t care about his people is one who pretends to care.  People can spot a phony every time.  They know he doesn’t care about them, and worse, his act insults their intelligence.

    So true! Caring about people means caring about everyone. Making the tough decisions about the team and for the benefit of the team. Getting close to the situation and involving myself. Risking the downside of my leadership position in order to move everyone forward. Being real means keeping the end goal of the work in mind and focusing the energy of the team on that goal!
