On Family: It is Everything

Family is not an important thing.  It’s everything.

~ Michael J. Fox

A man should never neglect his family for business.

~ Walt Disney

Like you, I spend most of my week focusing on my profession and those that I serve outside of my home.  On Saturday I strive to turn my attention to enjoying wholesome recreational activities with my family.  I’m not always perfect at this (especially with how easy it is to check my email on my phone), but I do make a conscious effort.

The purpose of my blog is to inspire greatness.  We should strive for greatness not only in our professional life, but also in our family life.  You are most likely to find true happiness by applying principles of greatness within the walls of your home; within your family relationships.  Some of those principles of greatness are faith, prayer, humility, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.

As you begin the weekend, I encourage you to give the same focused leadership in your family as you do in your profession.  As Mr. Fox said, family is not an important thing.  It’s everything.

Choose to focus on your family.
